Our Rhino rocks the NGV's 150th Birthday Celebrations
Snuff Puppets were invited by the NGV to develop a work based on Albrecht Durer's work Rhinocerus as part of their 150th Birthday celebrations...and this is our final work - a lifesize rhinocerus puppet!
He wondered up and down the gardens and even into the NGV itelf over the weekend of 28 and 29 May.
It took 3 people more than 5 weeks of intense workshopping and creating to build our rhino. Unbelievably, only one puppeteer is required to animate the whole rhino and it's pretty hard work!
